Hairstyles for Sarees

Sarees come in a variety of shades and designs.

Although women wear sarees for different occasions, in countries like Sri Lanka and India it’s not uncommon to find women donning the saree throughout the day and going about with their household chores.

Hairstyles

Hairstyles are one of the important features which help to bring out the beauty of the saree and its wearer.

Women with long hair who don the saree during the day will have their hair tied in a bun similar to the chignon hairstyle or have it in a single braid. This allows them to do their work more efficiently without having to worry about hair strands falling on their face hence making it difficult to do work.

For evening wear the hairstyle is usually let loose and allowed to flow naturally onto the shoulders.

Tips When Choosing A Hairstyle

When choosing a hairstyle it’s important to consider the shape of your face.

Women with round faces should opt for long hair with soft layers since it reduces the roundness of the face.

If you have a square face choose a short or medium length hairstyle which have bangs over on one side.

A short, long, layered or bobbed hairstyle is recommended for women with oval shaped faces.
